The 3C Company partners with ICCRF for cancer research in India

A marathon was organized in Dehradun as the first drive for the cause.

The Terry Fox Run was flagged off by the Head Master of Doon School, Dr. Peter McLaughlin and the Deputy High Commissioner of Canada in India, Jim Nickel, Gurmeet Singh from Indo Canadian Cancer Research Foundation. Around 1900 participants took part in the marathon.

A 7 member’s team from The 3C Company also participated in the run. The foundation will organize more such runs in other parts of the country in the coming months of which The 3C Company will be a part.

Speaking on the occasion Surpreet Suri – Director , The 3C Company, “We at The 3C Company believe in contributing towards the betterment of the society. Our partnership with ICCRF hosted Terry Fox Run to create awareness and contribute towards cancer research in India is part of our endeavor. We hope that through this initiative we will be able to contribute towards cancer research in India and serve the society in an enhanced manner.”

Terry Fox Run, ‘Marathon of Hope’ is dedicated to a 19 year old boy Terry Fox, who was diagnosed with cancer which resulted in his right leg being amputated above the knee. With and aim to get a bigger breakthrough to fight against this dreadful disease, Terry Fox Run is consistently joining hands with corporates to create awareness and raise fund for cancer research across continents.

The Indo Canadian Research Foundation (ICCRF) organizes the Terry Fox Run in Delhi, Dehradun and Kashipur.

According to Gurmeet Singh, Chairman ICCR, “We are happy to get associated with The 3C Company for creating awareness towards healthy living. We believe that the association will help us in raising funds for advanced cancer research in India and getting a deeper breakthrough for fighting the dreadful disease.”

Under this initiative, slew of fundraising activities will be organized throughout the year. Teams will be created by corporates to participate in such marathon and charitable contributions will be taken from companies. Donations in the form of monetary support, goods and services to support the cause will also be accepted by the foundation.

Apart from Dehradun, similar marathons will be organized in Delhi and Kashipur during the later part of the year.

In its constant effort to serve the society by reducing Earth’s carbon footprint, 3C has been working to create greater awareness about the benefits of Green Living, with 700 3C Company professionals delivering a dynamic integrated business model providing end-to-end solutions.

Along with company’s recent association with renowned ICCRF, it has also initiated various endeavors like adoption of clovers on the DND Flyway, conducted Earth Water campaigns via diverse media, and distributed saplings, eco-friendly carry-bags, seeds of native plants etc towards the creation of healthier & cleaner society.

Social initiatives such as 3C’s Green Family involve about 12000 members and are growing fast with more and more people coming together as associates, extended teams or customers.
