It has opened Best Western Discover Resorts, Neral which is a 218 room property in Maharashtra.

Spread over six acres, 99 of these rooms will be open to guests as hotel accommodations under the Best Western India franchise and will be managed by Best Western India. The remaining 119 rooms will be sold separately as holiday homes under the name Tuscany Terraces and will remain under the management of Silvex Realty Limited. The hotel will see an official launch on October 1, 2011.

“This property is Silvex Realty Limited’s first step into hospitality. We have been putting off the opening for the last two months due to issues that arise in new ventures, especially considering that we are a fair distance from Mumbai. However, we are ready to launch completely now. So far, 99 rooms are under Best Western India’s management, and if things go well, we hope to entrust the whole property’s management to them. They have a great reputation both in Asia and the Western countries, which is the main reason for this partnership,” said Radhika Mandrekar, Managing Director, Best Western Discover Resorts, Neral.

The three-star hotel will feature a 24 hour The Discover Coffee Shop and a yet unnamed organic restaurant, with a seating capacity of 130 and 50 respectively. In a bid to cater to their target segments which include leisure and family travellers on weekends and the MICE segment on weekdays, amenities have been included at the property accordingly.

A banquet hall with a 200 person capacity and two fully equipped conference halls for 100 persons each, a medical spa that offers seven day treatments called Born Again and a gaming section for children that is in the pipeline, are all part of what they offer. The property will be marketed as a budget accommodation for travellers to Mumbai and Matheran, as the location is close to both.

“We have never had a partnership with a holiday home property before and are very excited to be a part of this project. The location chosen is growing rapidly which made it a great opportunity for us to add our presence there, and it made good sense for the owners to have professionals manage the property,” said Sudhir Sinha, President and COO, Best Western India.
