Noida Authority CEO transferred amidst controversy

Track2Realty Impact: Amidst the growing controversy of misuse of official position and conflict of interest, the Uttar Pradesh Government has finally transferred Noida Authority CEO Amit Mohan Prasad.

Though Track2Realty does not either endorse or deny the allegations, the documents shown by the builder has clearly established clash of interest on part of the Noida Authority CEO, Amit Mohan Prasad.

An audio conversation between the Grih Pravesh Buildteck CMD, Abhay Kumar and Noida Authority then Chief Architect & Planner (CAP), Praveen Srivastav also confirms that the man sent for demolition at Grih Pravesh project at Sector 76, Noida was convinced that the builder had not flouted any norms.

Praveen Srivastav is on record saying that Amit Mohan Prasad has personal grudge with the builder and hence he is being victimized. Immediately after the sting audio went viral, a defiant Amit Mohan Prasad suspended the CAP who was due to retire in the next 10 days.

The investigation by the real estate website found merit in the allegations of Abhay Kumar that he had been a victim of personal vendetta by the Noida Authority CEO.

Track2Realty had also asked eight questions to Noida Authority CEO that went unanswered. The core issue of reasons behind the pick & choose against one builder where Amit Mohan Prasad has personal interest while taking a lenient view on other bigger defaulter builders also went unanswered.

As a matter of fact, in response to the news story Noida Authority CEO defiant amidst clash of interest the media group and this journalist was subject to personal attacks by the brother-in-law of Amit Mohan Prasad.

It is interesting to note that his brother-in-law Purusheshwar Sahay has also bought an apartment with the same builder and along with Amit Mohan Prasad there are four relatives who had bought the flat with this builder.

Furthermore, in violation of the norms of Noida Authority where any modification within the apartment needs certification by the structural engineer and has to be approved by the Noida Authority, Amit Mohan Prasad and others modified the apartment from inside flouting all the norms. He did not bother to answer a RTI query on the same.

The Noida Authority CEO had been so arrogant with his official position that he did not answer a number of RTI queries related with modifications in a number of apartments owned by him, his relatives and friends with the said project. He did also not entertain the RTI on the legality of the demolition of barricade at Grih Pravesh project. Issues like under which section the order of demolition of fencing was issued and who all were signatories on the file noting went unanswered.

After personal attacks by the brother-in-law of Amit Mohan Prasad, Track2Realty had been continuously asking pertinent questions and had raised the issue with the PMO and UP CM on Twitter.

Amit Mohan Prasad has now been transferred as Principal Secretary Agriculture and Alok Tandon takes charge as the new CEO of Noida Authority.
