Of the 15 bank accounts, 11 are in the name of Tapuriah and four in Hasan Ali’s name.

The ED sources told Track2Realty the accounts are in banks with branches in Switzerland, London, Turkey, Singapore and Isle of Man, a tax haven country located in the Irish Sea. This is a major breakthrough for the ED, as earlier investigations in this massive money laundering case had only revealed the Singapore and Dubai connection.

The ED has been enquiring through Intelligence Bureau and RAW Hassan Ali Khan’s connections with the Russian billionaire Suleyman Kerimov. Hassan Ali Khan has stated that Kolkata-based businessman and allegedly his close associate Kashinath Tapuriah and Suleyman Kerimov had entered into a deal for routing an amount of $ 3 billion ( Rs Rs 13,500 crore) for which they wanted Khan to open an account with UBS, Zurich for transferring the amount, sources in investigating agencies said.

Khan stated the deal involved supply of certain goods in Kazakhstan, the sources said. Khan has reportedly admitted that he has travelled in the private jet of Suleyman Kerimov from Zurich to London.
